The calculation method of outdoor LED display is as follows:

1. Give the specific data of the screen (length, width, area).

a. Example: The outdoor full color screen for P20 is about 10 meters long and 6 meters wide

b. First of all, it is clear that the specification of the unit box (length and width of the box) is 1280×960mm, and the resolution is 64×48

c. Calculate the number of boxes.

Number of boxes for screen length or width = pre-made screen length or width ÷ unit box length or width

The number of cabinets for screen length: 10 meters × 1000 ÷ 1280 = 7.8123 ≈ 8

The number of cabinets for screen width: 6 meters × 1000 ÷ 960 = 6.25 ≈ 6

d. Calculate the actual screen size.

Actual screen length or width = the (specification) length or width of the cabinet × the number of cabinets used for the screen length or width

Actual screen length: 1280×8=10240mm or 10.24 meters

Actual screen width: 960×6=5760mm or 5.76 meters

e. Area of screen: 10.24×5.76=158.9824≈158.98(square meter)

f. The resolution of the screen = the resolution length and width of the cabinet × the length and width of the cabinet = (64×10)×(48×6)

Second, only the area of the screen is given, not the length and width.

a. Example: If you make a P20 outdoor full color screen, the area is about 50 square meters.

b. If only the area is given, we have to calculate the length and width by ourselves. It can be calculated according to the ratio of length and width 4:3 or 16:9. This picture effect is good. (Take 4:3 as an example here)

c. Theoretical screen length is: length = (area ÷ 12) square root × 4

Width = (area ÷ 12) square root × 3

That is: length = 8.16m

Width=6.12m

d. The approximate length and width can be obtained, and the following calculation reference example (1).
