Calculation of indoor LED display.

(1) Give the specific data of the screen (length and width, area).

a. Example: the specification of the screen made is Φ5 (refers to the diameter of the pixel) screen, the screen is 5.8 meters long and 2.6 meters wide.

b. First of all, it is clear that the technical parameters of Φ5 screen unit board specifications for 488 × 244mm, unit board resolution 64 × 32

c. Calculate the number of blocks of the unit board used. The number of boards used for the length or width of the screen = the length or width of the pre-made screen ÷ the length or width of the unit plate

The number of boards used for screen length: 5.8 meters × 1000 ÷ 488 = 11.89 ≈ 12

The number of boards used for screen width: 2.6 meters × 1000 ÷ 244 = 10.65 ≈ 11

d. Calculate the actual screen size.

Actual screen length or width = length or width of the unit board × screen length or width with the number of blocks

Actual screen length: 488 × 12 = 5856mm or 5.856 meters

Actual screen width: 244 × 11 = 2684mm, or 2.684 meters

e. Screen area: 5.856 × 2.684 = 15.72 (square meters)

Note: Usually clear screen frame size in the screen size based on each side plus 5-10cm.

f. Screen resolution = screen with the number of boards × unit board of the resolution of the board degree

Screen resolution = (12 × 64) × (11 × 32)

(2) Only the area of the screen is given, not the length and width.

a. Example: Make a screen with an area of 9 square meters, and the specification of the screen is Φ5 (referring to the diameter of the pixel).

b. If only the area is given, the length and width we have to calculate by ourselves. You can go by the ratio of length and width 4:3 or 16:9. This gives a good picture. (Here take 4:3 as an example)

c. Theoretical screen screen length is: length = (area ÷ 12) square root × 4

Width = square root of (area ÷ 12) × 3

i.e.: length = 3.46m

Width = 2.60m

d. The length and width have been found out, and the following calculation is shown in the example in (1).
