Previously, in the professional cinema market in China, all professional movie projection equipment were projectors. Why did you say that before? Because on February 4, the opening ceremony of the country's first Samsung Cinema LED theater was held in Shanghai. Simply put, the projection is gone, and the movie theater is equipped with LED screens.

It is understood that in March last year, South Korean electronics giant Samsung announced the news of LED movie screens for the first time and demonstrated this kind of movie screens for the first time in a series of events at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas. This 10.3-meter-long movie screen has been installed in the Lotte Cinema World Tower in South Korea. After that, Samsung pushed its LED screens all over the world, and now it finally came to China. This also shows that the globalization process of Samsung LED cinema is still effective.

Cinemas use LED displays instead of projection technology. On the surface, the difficulty factor is not very large. After all, this LED display launched by Samsung supports 4K resolution, which has surpassed traditional projection technology. Its black is blacker and whiter. White, in terms of imaging performance, it can bring extraordinary visual enjoyment to the experiencer. It is currently the only LED display on the market whose image quality meets the DCI standard. For the audience, this is very good news, but why can it cause a sensational effect in the industry?

We know that from the beginning of our own theaters, projectors are the standard equipment of theaters. Compared with LED displays, they have the characteristics of relatively low cost and relatively stable operation. The internationally accepted digital cinema system certification standard (DCI) is also a projection technology. Tailor-made, if you want to pull DCI's dominance from the altar, you need to persuade the shooting, post-production, distribution, theater chain and other links. You can imagine the effort Samsung needs to make.

Only unexpected, nothing impossible! Although for LED display companies such as LCF, there is still a gap with the manufacture of an LED display that meets the DCI standard, but there are leaders in the front, and the confidence is greater. It can be said that Samsung is in LED display. The continuous advancement of the globalization process of the screen is a "crab-eating" measure, which opens up new application areas for LED display screens. Looking forward to the future, LED displays will be able to enter more "no man's land"!
